My aerial snapped off the other day and now i get bugger all reception. How to i replace it

Is it a roof mounted one? I'm assuming it is as you are posting in the second gen section.

You need to get to the back of the radio to unplug it. Tie some string to the end, then undo the two philips head bolts on the aerial and withdraw carefully to pull the string through. Buy an aftermarket one, and reverse the process, using the string to pull the cable through.

is there any way you can replace just the steel part without replacing the cable? as mine has broken and i have a new one but it has no cable (cut short) so i was thinking about attatching the old cable to the new antenna and just hope it clicks back in, any chance this may work, or just give it a go?

It should just click in to the old if it has the plug.

BTW what do you use on your mast to make it go faster? Arielcream? :ninja:
