I'm only an ameture at car stuff but is it easy to get the tail lights off the car to paint with the nightshades??? I wanna do it this weekend.... How long do you have to wait to put em back in?> few hours of overnight??? :confused: See told ya i'm ameture :bowrofl:

to pull the tail lights pull away the carpet from the back of your boot. there should be a couple of lugsd holding it in. then there should be a plug abd some bolts holding the light in, then just pop it out


Nightshades take about an hour to dry

if you cant be bothered taking them out u can just tape around the tail lights and use news paper to prevent the spray getting on the car.. Does the same job. Just take it slow cause it might dribble down a bit.

ok heres a couple of steps

1. Undo 3 screws from the carpet trim behind the lights, on each side
2. Pull back carpet
3. Undo 4 bolts holding the lights in
4. Un-plug wiring plug for lights
5. Push light assembly out towards the rear of the car
6. Done!! Easy as :D

I would take them out as it is alot easier to do as you have no masking to apply and dont have to worry about your paint. I left mine out for around 20mins before putting them back in then i left them over night.

Thanks for your help guys I'll be doing it this weekend, so i'll post some pics when its done, I'm hopeing to paint some of my interior too and get some fabric and do the fabric parts fof the door too, but i'll see how much time i get as i have to work saturday morning
