G'day guys recently one of my mates (Doddski) drive my car, and he recon the 4th gear should change at 60km/h (on auto mode)wich is not changing on my car, is changing only if i take my foot up a bit from accelerator or if i put the car in tippy mode!(wich is doing this since i got the car 2 years ago)
That's normal for a 4sp tranny? Or could be a problem somewhere?
Thank you!

Mine does the same.
Its only the 4sp without tippy though. I guess its common when the trans wear out a bit. How many k's on the car? I also found an ECU reset helps this (i.e. you dont need to take your foot off as much) but it reverts after a long country drive. 183k here

If you're still accelerating at 60km/h it is normal to hold third, but when you take your foot off to just stay at 60 it should change. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Thursday is time for tranny sevice (replacing the fluid), so i hope after that it will pick up!

Mine does it as well, but only if I'm still accelerating.
As soon as I lift to cruise at 60, it'll shift to 4th.

It's meant to do that, as 4th gear is meant for cruising. My 4 speed tippy did the same.

Hey dude, the ECU recognises how you drive, so if on average you tend to drive a little excitedly the ECU recognises this so it chooses to change gears later

A small update!
After replacing (I dissconect the ECU) the trottle body with a High flow one, is changing gears like a dream (can't feel anything)
1st gear from 0-10(15)KM/H, 2nd from 10(15)-40(45)km/h, 3rd from 40(45)-60(65)km/h and 4 from 60-up, that is in normal driving!

I have re-set my ECU god knows how many times and never noticed any change in how the auto reacts. Are you guys sure about the auto learning driving styles? Seems like a bit of a myth to me.

no myth. its called INVECS logic II
I used to hate my cars hesitation for gear changes, as it would learn my lazy 90% of driving day to day. when i did want to push it, it wouldnt like to change early. reset and it would be better.
there is a process to reset the learning procedure without disconecting the power. do a search, its here somewhere
