Ok just had a major service a few things have come up (which i already knew about anyways)
Brake pads need to replace both front and rear im looking at aftermarket tho not going genuine they try to sell to me but i refuse, what pads would u guys recomend? Bendix is it?
My transmission fluid needs to be flushed but i cant afford it right now, can i do the job myself? i really should get a gregorys manual but they want $220 to flush the dam thing i dun wanna pay that much for it
They say my disc's dont need to be machined but when im braking say from 100 i get vibration thru my wheel like more then usual, isnt this cuase to get them machined? or could be because my brake pads need to be replaced and my tyres are all illegal (and flat spotty :D ) should i trust mitsu i gotta get my car taken in to get new tyres and brake pads anyways should i just get them machined at the same time?
any help would be appreciated thank u and good day :P

i machine my discs every 2nd set of pads, Bendix are the pads of choice for me, i recomend to buy them and do it yourself, quite simple really, not sure about the auto transmission as mine is manual, someone else will fill you in on that
If ur tires are illegal, get them and 1st then ur pads, ur obviously not metal on metal yet otherwise u'd hear it, The vibrations prob from the tyres, i had a set very illegal (wire started hanging out lol) caused bvad vibration on braking, so thats prob ur vibration problem there,

Yeah Bendix ultimates are great. $120 front and $100 rears if you get them from somehwere like bevics or bursons. Would recommend having discs machined with new pads especially if you have got vibrations through the pedal. Can get them machined for like $80 for all 4 discs at the right place.
I had my tranny flushed in my KH including an new auto trans oil filter. Cost me about $80 for the flush and filter through a mitsubishi mechanic. If your car isnt under warranty then i wouldnt be going to mitsub. They are a rip off.
As for tyers, once again, do it yourself mate. Mitsub will put their own mark up on the price they get them for. Would recommend any Tyrepower places. Found them to be the most honest out of the big tyre dealers. Others such as bob jane and beauropairs try and push certain tyers because they make the most margin on them even though they might not be the best thing for your car/driving style.
Good luck.

oh tyres for me are fine thats no prob
the auto flsuh just ****s me and they wanted about 350 or so all up for new pads! ive got an exteneded warranty with mitsu which finishes soon (few months) but im pretty sure i dont have to get all my work done thru mitsu im pretty sure no warrantys are acutally allowed to do that they may state it but yeh i dunno if they can enforce it but who cares nothing majorly wrong with my car anyways
oh yes, depends what mood my pads are in somimes i get metal on metal sometimes just a low whine lol just now in this wet weather they need ot be done, tyres are alright to drive on i rekon they are illegal coz of the flat spots, but that over the whole tyres, worst flat spot is on front left which goes for about 10cm and at its widest about 3-4cm and is completly bald. My pads and tyres i wanna do at same time so tyrepower would be able to do that wouldnt they?
Anyone in perth out there wanna point me in direction of a good tyre/brake place? or where i can got my auto fluid done cheaper (***ne 220 my ass)
edit- never noticed vibration thru peddle just steering wheel vibrates like a btch

If its vibration through the steering wheel, then sounds like the tyres or wheel alignment.
Get the new tyres first and see if that fixes up the vibration. I had a lancer which shook the wheel alot due to uneven tyres. Once the new tyres were put on, the vibration disappeared. If it needs an alignment, then add about $40 + 1 hour extra wait.
Bendix are the way to go. Ultimates or performax. Heaps better stopping power than stock. I paid about $95 each for front and back for Performax's from Repco (call in advance to see if they have stock) and fitted them myself. Piece of p!ss. All you need is a socket set, brake caliper depressing tool ($20 from Kmart), some brake cleaning fluid ($7) to get rid of the brake dust before starting work.
Perhaps do the brakes yourself first, then book the car into a tyre place as they do a complimentary brake inspection - meaning they'll check your work and at the same time tell you whether the discs need machining.
Auto trans flush is a little more tricky. Can't simply drop the plug, drain and refill as there will be fluid left in the torque converter. Supposed to drain refill and then drain some more. Will do mine when I can be assed to do it and to hook up the tranny cooler.

I think for now i just want my car running so go get pads n get them put on and new tyres
find a trans place to do my auto flush right now i justwont the car running for a little longer so i can save up to mod the dam thing!
