Hi all, I have had a few 2nd generations over the last 10 years and was thinking about getting a
3rd generation, maybe a TH,TJ, just wondering anyone thats had both is the 3rd gen much better? and what are the + and - with the 3rd gen over the 2nds gen's.

2.6 exec astron 2nd gen to a 3.5 xi verada is a really nice step up, sometimes I miss the 2nd gen but then I go to drive it again and miss the 3rd gen... Keep both and have the 2nd gen as a daily while you play with things in the 3rd gen and vice versa.

3rd gen is leagues above spesh TH TJ +

Thats a good Idea Tim, I have a KR Verada and a V6 TS Advance, might sell one and replace it with a nice TJ or KJ.

Thanks Mits_Boi, what do you find is a lot better about the 3rd's over the 2nd's?

There is a heap of info here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_Magna) on wiki, but I loved the third gen inprovements, like more power for the same fuel, cupholders, airbags in later models, and pillarless doors.
Increased strength in the TL/W (heavier but safer).

Also the availabilty of parts in good condition is a plus.
