I looked up on wiki its says TS magna/verada has a 6G72 3.0litre V6 engine , it is same as the third generation magnas. but the engine in verada looks differrent and sit a differemt way compare to a newer 3litre V6. Does any one knows if they are same or only has different intake manifold and engine mount?

The TS/KS models use a 3.0L 12-valve V6 motor, but Third Gens (including the TF) use a 3.0L 24-valve V6 motor. From what I understand the engines are quite different mechanically, but i'm not familiar with all the minute details of differences between each.

The two cars are so different - I have owned one of each - that its pretty much the same job as putting a Camry engine into a TS, or any front wheel drive engine/trans from a different make . . . . . .
And why should you want to? It's so much easier to just buy a complete 3rd gen.

Different compression ratio pistons, also one uses a cross over oil pump and one does not, not to mention a different timing system. totally different.
Remember, 6G72 is an engine code mainly referencing size.
6G71 2L
6G72 3L
6G73 2.5L
6G74 3.5L
6g75 3.8L

Have a look under the bonnet of each of those, and they will have little in common. They have spark plugs, burn fuel, and are EFI - not much else in common.

Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_Motors_engines for the full list. lol Single cylinder through to V8. Diesels in there too.

Easy as, intake manifold stays on, just reach behind.
Not to mention the 2nd gen ones have knock sensors and high compression and adjustable timing via dizzy (there is a genuine difference between using 91 and 95 unleaded with 4 more kW and 9 more Nm so more if using 98 unleaded), variabe length intake manifold (long for low rev torque and short for high rev power and a mix in between).
