That's certainly do-able, it's been done a number of times. What part of it exactly do you want help with?
Another option is to mount it on the floor. peaandham and grelise have both done it, and I'm sure others have too.

Although mounting on the floor would mean you couldnt have a spare tyre in the boot. So something you should prob think about..

I reckon if you had a small sub and a decent size spare wheel you could have a crack at putting the sub into the spare wheel itself. It wouldn't be my pick - I'm happy to diminish my boot space for my audio gear :P - but it'd be worth measuring up if space is a concern.

Not necessarily, if the sub is small enough it should fit without the removal of the spare. You would just have to spend time enough to make a box that'll fit.
Only thing i have against doing that is you would have to try and mount it flush enough to be flat, even with grill to protect it. You'd likely be better off putting 2x small slimlines on both sides, unless you absolutely had to have big bass and wanted to fit a 15" or similar on the floor, which would mean the removal of the spare.

There was a member who made boxes moulded to fit in there nicely a fair while ago... forget his username though.... Maybe someone else remembers? Was a nice neat setup with it there too :)

Bigs was his username. Haven't seen him around in yonks so I doubt he'd make them anymore. Being a moulded fibreglass box, I'd assume it to be neigh on impossible to get exact dimensions of the boxes he made. Someone who owns one could chuck up some rough dimensions and a photo or two though.
If you're feeling lazy, you could get them made up professionally, but you'll have to pay for the privilege (about $300-400 each I'd guess).
The other thing you'd have to consider is where to install your amp/s.

for the amp/s i was actually looking at getting a small shelf made up to put under the parcel shelf or something similar i remember reading it somewhere and thinking thats a good idea.
