TH Magna, Will a diamante remote from the USA work?

Hey Guys, down to one key over here, 2 year old has disposed of it somewhere??

Will a diamante remote from a similar vintage work with a 99 TH altera? Someone must have tried this?

very interesting thought. Just looked up one on Ebay: item no. 280629249256, for 2000-2004 Diamante. Looks quite different to ours. ALso checked the JC Whitney site, can't one that looks like ours.

Are you talking about the remote - you mention you are down to one key - so I'm unsure.

I'd say it would not be worth the gamble. It would not suprise me if they are compatible but money down the drain if it does not. Maybe you could be the first to try it and let us know. Then I could get one too if it works (LOL).
I'm sure there must be a few getting around the wreckers or buy it local new. Given how fragile these are in the solder joints it'd be worth getting a new one.
