friend asked me to look at there v6 tr.it has broken all three roller rockers on one side of the front head. any idea why this happened . thanks doug.

Strange one! Lack of lubrication possibly? Where on the rocker did they break? Pics? Dismantle rocker shaft and look for seize marks.

look for bent valves or broken springs

then lack of oil as mentioned

could be wrong tension on the bolts

or no clearence for oil

any contamination? its the front head so did something fall into the oil filler hole when the oil cap was off, like a metal nut/bolt or something? has anything seized?

last time i saw broken rockers was on a pajero with the 4d56.
the cam had jumped a couple of teeth on the timing belt, due to a faulty tensioner.
