Hey all,

I just installed some 6x9s and wired it to an amp. They were running smooth without problem. Then I noticed the right speaker wasnt working. I shifted the balance to the one speaker and nothing. I put the volume up high and then it kicked in and was fine. Then it happened again next time a drove the car. I havent the slightest clue what is going on. The amp was sitting around for a couple of years. Any thoughts?

Thanks

If it's kicking in at higher volumes, you've most likely got a lose connection at either the speaker or amp end. Make sure the speaker cable is all wired in tight at the terminals.

I thought the same and it all looked good. Later on it was fine, then my stereo wouldnt turn on. Well it would with a thumping sound from the speakers and then a whine as it turned back off.
I took out the headunit and checked the ground. It looked alright but took it off and cleaned it up a little and then it was all good :S Weird but it works hey :)

Thanks mad
