Hey guys/girls,
Just went to an exhaust shop to find out what is wrong with my exhaust (go figure). Found out that the flexi-pipe has a leak and the cat converter is blocked and will need replacing.
Was also told that the rear muffler is one off a 4cyl, which means that the size of the piping is smaller. So basically, when the middle section pipe meets the rear sections pipe - they are different sizes, which is restricting the airflow -:headbange
First place quoted me over $900 for the repair, which included them putting a straight-through muffler at the rear (wanted to get this done anyway). That seemed huge.
So I went to another place and he quoted me $650, including a straight-through rear muffler.
Do these prices seem fair, or are they still too high? I live in the Frankston area, so if anyone knows of someone who has competitive prices, that'd be good as well..
Cheers,
Sam.
