I want to change the globes in my headlights to a more white light rather then yellow without mucking around with HIDs because i don't really care about the light they produce.
I just want whiter light and the same if not more brightness, what can i do?
Is there off the shelf globes that will give me this?
I did use search function and couldn't find what i wanted, thanks guys!

Philips Diamond Vision and Crystal Vision bulbs would be the way to go. Crystal Visions (4300k) are a similar output to a regular bulb, but whiter. Diamond Vision (5000K) is whiter again, but has less output than a standard bulb. Afaik neither of them are road legal. The Philips Blue Visions are legal, but they're not overly white.

If you want better lighting, go for the Philips Xtremepower +80 bulbs, but they'll be just about as yellow as a regular bulb.

No worries mate.

Not sure exactly how much difference there is. Might leave that one for someone who's had them before.

I'm not sure how much they cost but they aren't cheap. To give you a rough guide, I replaced my High/Low/Fogs with Philips +50 bulbs, and that was $200+. Autobarn would have them in stock, or be able to order them in for you.

Alright , well i don't need the foglight ones because i disconnected my fog lights to run angel eyes off a switch
Do standard lights run H3 and what is high beams?

Calibre Extra Vision Blue (+50's) are whiter and brighter than stock, probably not as fine as the Phillips but a lot cheaper. Super-Crap sell them.

i agree with Red Vladz i run the Phillips xtream power globes and for where you live mate i'd highly reccommend you them. They are expensive but are money worth spending. After all you do wanna be able to see everything from as far away as possible as it gives you more time to react if need be. You can have a look at mine Thursday if you like. There heaps good in the rain also.

I'll take a look, im looking for a really white light to match the angel eyes as close as possible, think they are 6000k or 7000k, not sure.
Any increased road lighting is a bonus.

Osram nighbreaker aka Narva Bluepower is 80% brighter and 20% whiter. Check out the headlamp FAQ.

They're a touch whiter than stock, but they certainly aren't a white light.

Put something like them or the Philips +50/+80 bulbs against a set of angel eyes and the difference will become even more apparent. The old man has +80 low beams but HID high beam/spotties on his car. The low beams don't look too yellow until you flick the HIDs on.

If you want increased lighting and a colour to match angel eyes, I'd seriously consider a set of HIDs.

7000k lights will have a noticeable blue tinge to them. 5000k is more or less a pure white.

I put Narva Plus 50 Performance globes in my 95 Magna, which made a big difference in city and country driving. They are street legal. I don't have the Magna now, but transfered them to the Camry that I have now. Narva globe comparison web page: http://www.narva.com.au/products/browse/performance-globes
