Hey guys,
As well as needing new rear brakes, the car has been shuddering between 40-55kph under acceleration.
Outside of those speeds its clean as a whistle.
Now I've had different suggestions as to what the problem could be and am chasing some other opinions.
The suggestions so far have been:
-Drive shafts (specifically inner joints)
-Control arm / sway bar bushes
-Wheel alignement & balancing
What are your thoughts and advice?
Got a big trip coming up so need to troubleshoot asap ...
Thanks in advance!
Tim

I wondered if you think it may be the clutch pressure plate
I am driving a manual these days and
it still shudders at that speed
if I dont get the revs right
you have done more than 200000 huh
could be wheel balance and alignment prob
or how old are the cvs/driveshafts
your running newish shocks and good engine mounts
cleaned the injectors ..no balance shafts in the motor
new harmonic balancer
so not sure .......still thinking

Update:
ok had the car checked over and these are the findings...
Subframe Bushes - oil soaked and perished, appx 1cm of movement
Subframe Bolts - Missing, the bolts that are present arent even home.
Control arm Bushes - oil soaked and perished
Control Arm - Passenger side; resting on the subframe itself, zero clearance
Drivers Side; less than an inch clearance, approx 1cm of freeplay

New update...
After further inspection the subframe and crossmembers are warped/twisted and unfixabled, in need of replacement....
Threads are stripped to buggary, bushes are gone and bolts have literally fallen out.
is this possible without tamper/sabotage? it seems like someones fully messed up my subframe and cost me the car... its completely unroadworthy!!!

with good paint
refit everything you have
thats good from your car
we could do that on a long weekend
put in a new clutch while engine is swapped
so you dont loose your investment
