so ive got an oil leak but it isnt coming from the engine, its coming from just behind it?? any ideas?

There are 4 places you will get fluid, engine, trans, power steering or brakes

First of all, what colour fluid is it, can you give it a good clean and then see where the fluid is coming from in a general sense

ive given it a clean, and it seems to be a red colour, but the trans is on the right side ay?? but where the leak is on the left so possible its power steering

No, your trans is on the Left Side on a Right Hand Drive car lol, you have to think oppersite when you are facing the car so as not to get confused

The red, most likely power steering fluid, check your steering rack where the column goes into the rack and also the steering rack boots, also check your steering fluid level also for confirmation
