Just found a little gem at the recyclers that outputs 12V 1amp. Seems to me this would be ideal to trickle charge a battery 8)

So, to charge the battery should I connect it positive to positive?

Also, I'm curious as to why you put your fuse on the positive terminal of the battery? My science knowledge tells me that positive receives electrons and therefore is at the end of the circuit (dc) and hence a bad place to put a fuse! Or is it just convention that positive is the active pole (and is really a negative pole)?

Thanks a heap!

14.4 V needed, and it needs to be current limited otherwise it will overheat. Get a proper battery charger. 4 Amp ones are cheap.
