Am new to this forum but just wondering, has anybody cut the end of the lower reservoir thats connected to the air box to increase airflow & what are your results? Have emailed RPW about this & they claim that this is better than having a 90mm snorkel installed. Im a bit hesitant to cut a factory box, would it be better to install a pod set up instead or are there too many issues with this set up? Now my last Q, I know there are a few of you with super charger set ups, is it really necessary to upspec your valves & pistons when installing these? When emailing TMR about their S3 super charger, it wasnt necessary to do so, just bolt on & thats it really... oh yeah what are the costs for a supercharger? Any how thanks again for any help.

Definately do it there are a heap of people on here that already have and I will soon. Get the 90mm Intake they're only $55 and a K&N Panel filter and you should be set. You will really notice the difference. after those cheap mods think about a new rear muffler (getting mine done soon). The Berklee seems to be the way to go as most people have found out. these are the first mods most people do and make a hell of a difference performance wise and on your wallet at refuelling time.

There is a heap of info on lower intake mods on other threads. The short of it is just do it, but a word of warning., make sure you don't take too much off. You don't want to be drawing hot air out of the engine bay. Also from everyone's experience here, don't trust all of what RPW says. A lot of their supposed expert information is flawed. I will try and find the thread for lower intake mods and put the link on here.

Welcome to the forum.
Yeah mate Supercharger kit will bolt straight on to a stockish 380 without modification. Don't accept anything less than an S5 blower (I doubt they would try to supply a S3 these days anymore)
Kit cost is approx $5k & if you want someone to fit it usually up to about $1k max. I did mine myself as the manual is pretty comprehensive if you're handy with tools.
Definitely get the 90mm intake too!

I have never ran mine in stock form but I believe you would still get a very substantial increase in seat of the pants enjoyment :) It may feel a little bit strangled up in the revs without the extractors & exhaust but if you are used to a stock engine you would be very happy.
My recommendation of anyone just doing a fairly stock setup would be to pay the extra $500 & get the tunable SMT-6 with the kit & do the intake, extractors & exhaust & tweak the tune to suit. Mine is similar but running 6 larger injectors (no 7th injector) & water/methanol for intercooling.
Warranty wise I'm not 100% sure where you would stand if you had an engine fail for instance. My dealer knows my car is supercharged & still does other warranty stuff & have said it wouldn't be a problem. Blackstar had a blown engine replaced under warranty but his was installed by TMR in Melbourne which may make the difference.

just rung guys reselling sprintex in Sydney - they said that the whole kit installed up to $8,000 or less depending on the supply. that sounds good but...
the guy said that the Sprintex is closing production of the kit for 380 meaning that there wont be any kits for 380 pass couple of months... ;-( so it seems like "now or never"

:yeahthat: im lead to believe sprintex have one kit remaining on the shelf and no more are to be produced. i guess its possible that TMR might have one on the shelf also.

I bought the last intake plenum Sprintex had for the 380.
That is the only critical custom part.
The supercharger is used in a variety of other kits.
