Was heading up the coast a few days ago and started to get a loud intermittent clicking noise from under passenger side of dash.

I climbed under and isolated the noise. It was coming from a device that had lever arm attached to it and looked like something to do with air vents or aircon. I disconnected the power to it and continued on minus the clicking.

I looked through manual and it would appear to be the air mix damper motor.

Has anyone else ever replaced this part and what does it actually mix? The mix of hot and cold air?
