I love the Merguires NXT glass cleaner, and always have a few microfiber cloths handy for when one starts to get a bit damp.

Only one i've tried (window cleaner) was the Armorall version...worked well for me using microfibre cloths.

Methylated spirits in a bit of water.

Then scrunch up newspaper to dry and remove residue.

Old trick.

I use a damp chux rag, then wipe off the residue with a glass cleaning cloth (like this (http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/SCA-Glass-Cloth-Microfibre.aspx?pid=163185#Description)).

It's the only foolproof method I've used. Glass cleaners and newspaper have always left a streaky finish for me.

Gunna try some of these. A chick I was taking home thought it'd be HILARIOUS to put a hand print on my windscreen while I was putting in petrol. So next day try to wipe it off and it smudges, further wipeing spread said smudge. Got some windex and smudge now consumed entire inside windscreen, went to super cheap, got some can of 'Clean's ya window bro' I dunno, and yea that'd just made worse what was already terrible. In a last ditch attempt while driving to meet the C-town guys I pulled into a servo and used the windscreen cleaner thingo, but inside the car. This worked ****ing awesome but yea wasn't perfect, so need to finalised this bitch.

Ill go to Autobahn in the afternoon and see what they have and try some things out and find something I can use on tint. Whats a good Wax/Polish?

If you got swirl marks Meguairs SwirlX is an excellent product.

I do my cars all waterless these days. Got myself a heap of microfibre cloths, Turtle Wax bug and tar remover, Meguiars quick detailer, then Meguiars spray wax. Cheap ass $2 tyre shine for the tyres and a microfibre cloth to clean the wheels. Takes about 30-40 mins and looks immaculate.

To answer your questions: What Blackstar said works, metho and some water with a microfibre cloth for the glass. Don't use paper towel or newspaper as it will always leave residue of some sort. I find Windex and a microfibre cloth works for me, or the Meguiars glass cleaner stuff.

Applying the SwirlX stuff, best to follow the instructions on the tube.

dont meant to hijack the OP's thread.....but, what can i use to get water marks of my windscreen?
My wipers wipe the water off the glass, but then there are still water marks on the windscreen. I've tried the metho with water but no luck..

Try some ScratchX stuff, grease remover or some polish.

Waterspots on glass is a PITA to remove. Like Disciple said, ScratchX would be a good product to use, but don't expect miracles.

Bought all meguairs polish gear, worked a treat, 4-5 hours of manual labour and can see true colour reflections instead of everything having a yellow tinge,
