Hey guys,
Just found a small buzzing noise comming from under the bonnet of the car when i turn the car on. Car seems to run perfectly fine. Should i be worried>?
Electrics?

No you will find its probly the fuel pump priming the fuel line.

or maybe the Idle Speed Control motor resetting itself.

My second gen does that. It's just the ABS getting ready to do its job, its not supposed to do that until the speed reaches 5 KPH or more, but mine does it while stationary. Meh, who cares?

Yep mine does it also, normal operation, nothing to be concerned about!

Either fuel pump or (if you have ABS) could be that unit. Either way its fine, some mornings mine is really loud, some mornings its fine. i think its to due with the climate and when you drove her last :)

Hey thanks for the many different responses, that buzzing noise has disappeared.

If it is the buzz i am thinking of, is the fuel pressure reg coming up to pressure, you generally get this when either the pressure reg is playing up or the valve int he fuel pump is playing up and line pressure is not being held. This is very common and not much to worry about. Can also be a leaky injector allowing fuel pressure to drop
