the remote for my TW has been driving me mad because the two halves keep coming apart. I fixed it by taking it apart and v slightly trimming the coloured rubber sheet that includes the buttons. It's fine now.

Mine does that all the time - initially caused by the remote being assembled with the gasket misaligned from new. I've relocated the gasket but the unit still is not fully clamped together.
I'd be interested to hear how/where you trimmed the rubber sheet.

I cut a strip about 1mm wide off one of the long edges, it seemed to be folded there and was stopping the lid from popping closed. Now it seems fine.
