Ive seen a similar thread before but nevertheless.
im going to install an amp in my ts but cant find a grommet to run the power, ive been told that drilling is a no go and i really dont wanna stuff round with that either.
ive got everything else done but theres no power without a power cable :hmm:

I ended up going through the passenger foot well into the wheel arch, then into the engine bay.
Not sure if it's the same in the TS, though.

Is it illegal to drill the firewall thats why you use either the clutch or strut tower grommets.
On the off chance a cop looks at your firewall you will have less chance of being defected if you do it properly (eg, clean the egdes, use split tubing on the wire and use a grommet in the hole).

ok cheers, clutch cable it is.
is it true that if u run power an rca close to eachother u get magnetic radiation noise from the power wire

I ran mine with the engine loom, fusebox under the 'body side of the air cleaner surrond' and through the grommet in the passenger side footwell. Then behind the plastic thingy....
I ran mine through a big oval shaped grommet, I beleive on the passenger side. Poked a stiff wire through, taped the power cable to it and pulled that through.

Yes...
Oh, yeah I ran the cables next to each other. The noise isn't too bad, just turn the volume up to overcome it... But its worth the extra 15mins to run the RCA's down the other side of the car. Its only a matter of taking off the scuff plates and tucking it under the carpet and behind the seatbelt/pillar cover etc.
