hello folks,

I have a th magna wagon and looking at widening some steel wheels i bought from ebay which are off a late model lancer. They are 16x6.5, 5x114.3, 46+offset. I'd like to get that deep dish, euro style look on the wagon with stretch tyres, but i want the wheel to be flush with the guard.

I've been using this calculator to determine what specs would be ideal,
http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp

I want to widen to 7.5". Would it be fair to say, that if i keep to the same backspacing as the original 15x6 originally fitted to the magna, the modded steel wheel should fit?

Using the calculator, to achieve the original backspacing and the dish look on a 7.5" wide wheel , the offset would be 26+.

Anyone done this sort of thing on a magna?

I don't think anybody on here has any idea about the Hellaflush/Fatlace scene, nor has anybody applied that to a magna. I personally have always wanted to see a flush TF wagon on VS-MX 18's.

The only way that you can get an idea of how flush your going, is to measure a tyreless stock rim and see how far you need to go out your guard. Or try a Pre AU falcon stockie, they are 0+ from factory I think. My mate has 2 falcon stockies on the rear of his cressida and they sit an inch and a half outside the guard, with lowering and camber, the lips would be very nice.

yep, after more thought I came to the same conclusion and is that i just need to measure from the rim to the guard, then subtract that measurement from the offset. Would be good if i had a 7.5" 46+ offset wheel to measure from though...

Yep, spot on man.

I think a flush wagon on streched stockies would look sick! I hope to see this result soon =D
