I had the CD eject fail on me, on the standard TJ exec radio.
Pulled it out, not much chance of getting to the eject mechanism to clean/inspect etc, so in the bin it will go.

Questions: The Eurovox has 2 plugs on the back, one large (for power, speakers obviously) and a smaller plug which I assume runs the blinky security light. An aftermarket unit won't have the second plug, so is it ok to leave that one unplugged? Not going to stuff up the immobiliser or anything? I'd prefer a mp3/aux unit anyway.

Failing that, has anyone tried to get an original HU from Mitsu?

Are adaptors for the harness to a Pioneer plug available?

EDIT: Just plugged the original back in, but left the small plug disconnected. Everything works, including the security light. So what is the small plug for? Lights?

the second plug is a mute wire from the handsfree connector under the console, mine had it too, just leave it unplugged, i dont think the factory units in TJ's were eurovox, they were clarion. Yeah the main loom connector has everything you need in it. If you want the colour codes just ask.

Definitely a Eurovox - has a sticker on it that says so. lol Colour codes? I installed 2 Pioneers previously by the cut and join method, couldn't be bothered this time and bought the adapters - Pioneer to ISO and ISO to Magna - it's the lazy way I know. lol
