Hi all, Have a TR 91 4 cylinder. I have an after market central locking system. I have set up the central locking works well,,but It has 2 wires that are to go too the indicators Well it says park lights.
Anyway does anyone know WHERE under the dash I can Find the correct wires??????????
I tried the to coming out the back of the hazard flasher,,,But for some reason that just doesn't work.
Thanks

The loom that runs down the steering column will have the 2 wires you are after. From memory one is green with a blue trace and the other is green with either a yellow or black trace. Good luck

Do not tap the ignition switch wiring.

There is a plug about 3cms long on the drivers side under the dash. It is almost at the firewall and carries output signal from the hazard circuit to the engine bay. Use a tester on the wires (blue woith red trace from memory) while hazards are active. Connect your 'park light' signal wire from your central locking unit to this output wire on the loom (cabin side) and it will activate the hazard circuit when signal given.

Make sure to use a soldering iron when joining wires. I used to use the twistand tape method, often ended up with random bits not working at the most annoying times. You probably know this, just saying in case...

Why would you not touch the ignition switch wiring? Besides that, the indicator wires have nothing to do with the ignition switch. NEARLY ALL alarm installers will take their main power, indicator flash, ignition accesory feed etc from the main wiring LOOMS along the column as they can be disguised as normal wiring when done correctly therefore making the car even more resistant to theft.
