I don't even think I have paid $7000 off of mine yet.
Ahh 23000 km. Mine is 2003 but with only 5000km 15 of which are not mine.
modify which bits?
suspension & stiffening $2.5k (coil overs only $1k for normal stuff)
sound and DVD $2.5k
engine $2.5k
mags & rubber $2.5k
internal leather $2.5k
twin turbo $8k (after your warantee runs out and all of the above are done.)
Need more detail whatch this space. :D

I pick the car up next week..i cant wait!
The car is Sienna Red...it does look great with the AWD badge at the back :D :bowrofl:
What I noticed however was that the exhaust was a 2.5 downward pipe..I remember a better exhaust on the FWD sports model..any comments?
Also Im planning to put 18inch rims on, any probs with this?

yeah... it does have a downward tip exhaust... but if its anything like mine... it sounds fantastic. the exhaust on the AWD is a bit diff all over from the 2wd coz it has to fit around the diff bits (driveshaft etc).
18's..... dont we wish.
but (and its been forum'd a lot already) mitsu sez no can put anything larger than 16's on awd's coz of space conflicts with the 'rear stearing knuckles'.....
but dont let that stop you..... just that if u find a way to successfully put 18's (or 17's for that matter) on... then let us know.

Turbo,
you'll love it. I brought an 02 AWD (non-sports) with 35,000kms and paid $18,900 including my TR trade in. Have fun in the wet, i've tried and tried to spin the wheels and all I can manage is slight slippage on the white lines. SS 5.7 Commodores don't stand a chance in the wet.
Debadge it also.
Here's some pics.

December 02, one of the first to be released.
Mitsi's class it as an '03 though it was first rego'd in March '03.
Rear box and a whiteline rear sway bar. Lowering is next but not too sure how low to go as it's used as a family commuter.

I just picked it up yesterday and ran it through its paces...
Have to say this car is one fast V6.....
I find the interior quite nice but after driving a Mazda MX6 for the last pass 5 years the Magna is missing a few luxury features...so the climate control and the CD doesnt hold my attention long enough! it can use with a CD stacker, and wish I had a sunroof.
Going top end from acceleration I found top end power around 160km and accelerating abit lacking, it was gradually going faster but even with my foot on the pedal floored...topend seem to be struggling...maybe this is cos of the AWD driveline.
This car also burns alot of petrol and I got figures of 14.1 L /100km this slowly went down to the mid 13L when I used the automatic.
Sports Mode is awesome...I raced a Honda S2000 on a tight bend and the AWD left the guy in the dust.
One thing I noticed is the lights dont turn on when I open the doors? maybe I have to set this but havent found out how to...there are courtesy lights under the passenger side but none on the drivers side.
Also it should have shift lock to prevent the driver to put the gears into reverse and park while driving by mistake. Correct me if Im wrong I havent tried it myself but think it doesnt.
Im also weary of overusing the tiptronic and stuffing it up?
Overall this car rules in AWD...reviews have suggested this car is slower than the FWD by 2 secs of the pace, so I guess the FWD version is even faster, but you cant beat the AWD cornering, it is a damn fast car.....any comments

For the interior lights to turn on, open your doors and slide the light on the roof left to right till they come on :D ,

there is an interlock on the gearbox.... the brakes need to be applied before the car can be put in reverse etc....
awd does use more gas
and is 200kg or so heavier... so slower 1/4 times....
but has much greater traction ... so quiker off the start and around corners and in the rain and in traffic and in real life and and and and and.... (u get the idea).
factory sound in magna is not for use.... its only temporary till u put in a real one :P
and yeah... like phonic sed... the dome light up top.. move it left or right.... (and u can install underdash neons for to light up ur toes :))
