i might be buying a Mitsubishi, Magna, TJ Sports this weekend and was wondering if the trany would fit my awd magna since they are both 5speed sports auto?

long story short, no.

The gearboxes are different.

I don't think the FWD boxes have any way to connect to the AWD transfer case?

Yeah no FWD gearbox will go into the AWD.
