issue i go now is its reving hi in park 1200ish and down to 900 in drive
its to dark to strip out again now but any ideas what i did wrong i think the sealing ring didnt sit right when conecting the isc could that be why ?

i also reset the cars ecu but didnt help much

Could you have changed the set idle speed during the process? Nice work btw, it's on my to-do list.

My 3.0 had a similar problem. Check that the throttle returns to shut properly. My throttle spring was old and worn, and the butterfly valve didnt physically shut properly.

Simple, really. But a bit of WD-40 on the spring worked well =)

1200rpm when dead cold is OK, but if its not getting to under 1000rpm within 3 minutes of a cold start then something is up. Firstly check the vacuum hose that goes into the intake pipe is plugged in.

Someone may have previously countered the dirty ISC/low idle symptom by adjusting the idle screw for a higher idle - now that you've cleaned the ISC the old adjustment may be too high for the ISC to compensate.

As a last resort I'd let it warm up (wait a minute or two when cold for the RPM to drop) then adjust the idle screw until you get the idle to 700-800rpm in Park, checking that it doesn't drop too low when put into gear.

And that ISC O-ring is fiddly, stretched with heat/time it's almost like it's oversized.

warm its sitting at 1200, i might adjust the dle screw due to the fact i think no one has ever cleaned it on this car

Have you tried letting it idle for 10 mins with all accesories off? I believe this is part of the Idle relearn the ECU does. the throttle body is now working more efficiently and all the build up is cleaned out , more air is able to pass the throttle plate but the ECU has probably adjusted the ISC for the previous dirty TB and now has to learn/ re-calibrate the ISC to return to the normal idle speed.

If it does not get back to where it should be then the speed adjustment screw on top of the TB may have to be adjusted. I've had low idle speed issues whenever the battery is disconnected and letting the car idle for 10mins or so did resolve it. It is mentioned in the manual as well.
