Hello guys i'm a newbie.
Just wanting to know what OBD2 protocols my TF uses? Assuming it is OBD2!

Have tried my scantool (5 different protocols) on the OBD port, but it will not recognise the TF.

Is there something I am missing? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Maate,
despite having an OBD2 plug located under the dash near the drivers left knee the Magnas are not OBD2 compliant. OBD compliance didn't occur until the 380 was released.

Cheers

I have a scan tool and also find that it doesn't work with the TF magna. It plugs in and goes through the check sequence, but stalls somewhere downt eh track. Same thing happens with my NL Pajero as well. ANyone had any luck in scanning the codes etc?

You can do it with an OpenPort cable and the right software on a laptop - see the Evoscan website (http://www.evoscan.com/).

Yeah the Magna only speaks MUT-II the mitsubishi protocol, most scan tools etc will have no dice.

As WytWun said, get evoscan and a cable, and that will work.
