380 owners should recognise the distinctive middle subframe and suspension arm design. This one is a little different though.

Ummmm so you are trying to tell us that you took a photo of an AWD 380 that doesn't exist?? ..... as PH would say "Please explain"

They do now! lol This one and Blackstar's, unless they are the same car. Or is it an overseas Sigma or Galant we don't know about?
I'm more interested to find out why its so clean! Doesn't it get driven? lol
All joking aside, if its a home made job on a local 380, it looks a professional job. What is its history?

I'll stop playing silly buggers now :)
The photos belong to this thing. It pulled up next to me as I was having lunch last week at a lookout in Death Valley USA, and the suspension underneath looked awfully familiar.
The interior is all Galant too, rearranged for the upright SUV style. Looks like it runs the familiar transverse AWD auto transmission too.
Cant help but wonder how hard it would be to fit into a 380.

Yes, that would be the Endeavour. Weren't they built on the same PS-41 platform?

Yup - Endeavour. Not the prettiest of things, but probably quite nice to the average american consumer (its scary over there - Porsche Cayennes look svelte and stylish compared to the god awful behemoths that populate the roads!!)

Mac strut front end, basically a jacked up Galant. Am guessing there may be final drive ratio differences to allow for the big wheels, but still...
I always thought the 380 rear end seemed to have the space conveniently provided for a diff and driveshafts - I was right!

ha ha... Yes indeed. I did in fact get busted by the drivers, but they didnt care - it was just a rental.
Saw a few current model Eclipses over there too - a very nice looking car. Again, the same platform. Shame it was a LHD only model...

I did a search, but am no wiser - what it the story with Blackstar's AWD 380?
They run a plastic "egg crate" plenum.....wonder if its any better than ours.
