Need to replace stock rims (damaged) and want to get some alloys. Preferably the stock elite/elante ones, but may stray to other models.

What is the offset of the 1st gen rims? Looking specifically for compatability with some old celica rims as they take my fancy too.

Has anyone had similar experiences with 1st gen wheel changes? I dont want to go up in size.

u could probably go to the wreckers and find some "Atom" mags. probably the best looking stock 1st gen magna rims. 15" they are. i was going to get them until i found better mags which i have now :D . a mate down in sydney got 4 rims for $50 a rim from the wreckers. this included the rubber that was on them but i think the rubber was abit worn... and old. kumho powermax 769's are decent for $85 a tyre if u wanna go cheap like me. they have given me good handling through wet and dry... which is surprising for a cheap kumho.

attached is a pic of wat atom mags look like.

I like my handling so i'd probably be going ~$120 a hit tyres. Only reason i dont want to go up in size is that i have fresh bridgestone GTR's on the front, as of a few months ago.

Whats the width on the atom mags?

the alloys will take 195/60r15's of course most ppl put 205's or 215's on them.

Also ill have to disagree and say that atoms actually look like crap, and the TP Elante wheels are the best stock magna wheels from the first gen.

No idea on their width sorry.

other vehicle compatability wise - wheels from a sigma/scorp/cordia should all be a perfect fit.. maybe lancer wheels aswell.. they look about the same  :P

i think the RWD models (sigma, starion) have a different offset, but perhaps cordia wheels might be suitable.

I got these Auscar 15" trispoke rims from the wreckers. I had no idea what an offset was then and I was just happy that my stud pattern matched and they fitted on fine, no rubbing at full lock and they didnt poke out past the gards.

$200 all up, see attached pics.

Youre right mate, the blowling balls were the worst, sorry i got them mixed up with atoms (i didnt look at the pic, sorry) i still say TP elante ones were the best, but the atoms are good if you want to see your calipers, not bad i think.

any wheels that fit a cordia are a perfect match. i'm running 14x6" rims off an AB Cordia on mine, no pics sorry.

I saw this and thought might be handy for some one seeing theres been alot of talk about gen1 mags these are the TM elite/ac cordia mags. Going CHEAP too might be worth a look http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6782&item=7911155421&rd=1
