I want to buy some rims in a month or so. But due to Uni and a bunch of other things I have a lot of expenses. So I figure I might be able to sell my current set of five TR rims with tyres to add a bit of money to the "new rims fund". But I'm not sure if they would sell or how much they would sell for. I wouldn't expect more than $150 for the set. But the main thing is if there's anyone out there that would actually buy them. What do you guys think?

Depends on the style of rim and condition of the tyres most likely. There used to be expression of interest threads, but I think its for sale and auction only now. I think there is also a minimum amount of time you have to be a member and a minimum post count before you sell things so check the rules in the for sale section incase you get in trouble with the mods. You could put some pics in here or the SA chat thread and see if anyone is after them?

Steel? 14" or 15"? How much tread depth? Someone in SA who is short of money and in need of some new rubber would snap them up.

Probably easier for you to wear them out to give you more time for accumulating some more $$$ in your "new rims fund".

minimum post count is 50 for the for sale sections, and again as madmax stated it would depend on the type of wheel and tyre tread remaining....

They're 14" steel with near new tyres. I probably wont be selling them for four or five weeks. I was just wondering if anyone would be interested, just to see if they're worth listing for sale or not. If you buy one of the donor statuses on here does it allow you to sell early?
