Hey guys,
Just wondering how hard it is to transfer the KH tail lights to a KF? Its obviously different from the garnish below. Can i change just the bottom section or do i have to change the whole boot?
Cheers

First off good luck finding the kh ones! It would be a straight swap as long as you have the parts that goes around the lights =)

Found a set at the wreckers :)
Yeah i thought so. I would need the bottom section of the boot aswell. What are they worth roughly?

you can always still use the KH tails and not use the rest of the rear panel lights....obviously its up to you what look you are after..
..and i think you HAVE to change the boot as well,as it has holes in it for the rear reverse lights...

You will need the taillights, bootlights and boot garnish that they sit in. They should all fit on a verada bootlid. I'll put up a pic of some next to the older verada taillights when I get home.

Wow they do look good on their own though :)
If i didnt use the middle lights i was considering keeping them in there and coding them to the paint on the car. Think it would look nice :)

If removing the strips for painting, start with the side closest to the boot. There is a roundish ended clip holding it in, get this out and you can carefully and gently slide a screwdriver down there to try to seperate the 2 pieces of double sided foam tape. Once these are off, pull it away from the light (see shape of the little clip on the end where it wraps around). I replaced the drivers side light when I was backed into tonight, the little strip survived so I just swapped it with the green one on the new light instead of painting. Double sided foam tape is $5-8 in hardware shops I think, get a waterproof automotive one, or I can stick some on some baking paper for you since you only need a few cm.
Only had the KH lights but have a KH garnish and a pre-KH verada garnish, verada bootlid has cutout holes that should fit KH lights, I'll try to double check this next time I get time.

Thinking about the ones on ebay but a little too black tinted for my liking :( Im putting up a WTB thread for it. Think they would look good on my car along with everything else :)
Well if you don't get the e-bay ones I might have to...

Funny enough thats where i got my original image that i photo shopped :P Found it in google and had asylums plates
Just had a look, a KH boot garnish sort of fits on an older verada bootlid. If you take off about 2/3 of the clips it will fit in. All the ones you take off look like they are in a spot that would be easily drillable to accomodate them if you had an easy way of marking out where they go. I think its only the 3 inside clips around the numberplate and the outside most corner ones that line up.

No worries mate! Cheers :)
I'll measure up the extra holes in my boot and see if I can draw a map of where to drill.
Still looking? I might be able to piece together a full set for about $200 unless someone has another cheap drivers side light. I have a spare smashed drivers side one here but noone likes smashed lights.
