Currently in Canada now and checked out some speakers ... I wasn't at all familiar with the brand Infinity so i checked them out and they sounded real good. I haven't actually seen them in Aus b4 but i guess that's just because not many stores sell them... so i was wondering if anyone has them or what ppl know/think about them?

btw, the product codes are:

REF 6000CS
http://www.infinitysystems.com/caraudio/product.aspx?ProdId='REF6000CS'&Ser=REF&Cat=COS

REF 9602I
http://www.infinitysystems.com/caraudio/product.aspx?ProdId='REF9602I'&Ser=REF&Cat=MEL

The problem is that if i do get them... it may be a pain to get them fixed in the future if something happens...

Anyway appreciate any thoughts or comments ...

Thanks

Infinity Kappa series are quite good, but the Reference ones are awesome.

Just wondering why you rate the reference series over the kappas? Aren't the kappas supposed to be more expensive? I've been procrastinating over buying a set of infinities from the US off ebay.

"Infinity Reference" are entry level, then come "Infinity Kappa", and Infinity Kappa Perfect" are teh flagship of Infinity, they are a really nice sounding brand, i is thinking about their kappa splits.......i wouldnt loook past them. I have 2 mates that run a full infinity speaker setup excluding amps, sounds quiet nice

They sell them @ Hi-Fi supermarket

On our home theatre, the centre and front speakers are Infinities. Bought them years ago. They sound fantastic, although I don't know much about their car audio range.

all audiocom stores stock and supply infinity....
the reference are the bottom... kappa are middle and kappa perfects are the best

yeah ive heard the kappa perfects in audiocom and i don't like em that much
to my ears (this is all with my music) they are really treblly (too much treble, and this was with the deck settings i use in my car).
i reckon that the dynaudio 2way splits are way better.
but they are good quality, but just too much treble for my liking.

I have a set of ref 6953i 6x9s in the rear and atm they r just run off the h/u i found the infinity range to be excellent in all aspects for my purposes.

Just be aware that the speakers are a different profile and dont "just droop in" the stock holes !!! Just a bit of xtra modifying an ur pumping the db's :D
