I have the 1996, Mitsubishi Magna Executive, TE and over the past six months the engine has been shaking crazily and now is starting to really annoy me.
When in idle the car runs ok but when you put it into Drive, Reverse, L, 2 or 3 it shakes like crazy but when you are up to speed it runs fine.
It has been to the mechanic and they haven't told me a thing what it could be which is even more frustrating and annoying.
What could it be?

Any chance of a video? What RPM is it currently idling at?

Same in my old camry, bad engine mounts = plenty of shaking
Could also be the Idle Speed Controller not increasing idle revs when placed in D or R....extra load reduces revs and engine shakes.

It's running at around 800RPM when idle

Is that in D or N?

D and N it revs over 1000 for a little when first starting up the car then down to 800rpm after about 30 seconds or so

My money is on a stuffed driver's side engine mount.
Mine was showing the same problems when I bought it, replaced the mount and it drove like new.
