Hey guys,

Ive sound deaden my car a couple of days ago and think i stuffed something up while im at it.
My speakers are making a whiring noise, i think its from my speakers as i put my foot down on my throttle...

The sound starts off with a low pitch when idling but becomes a higher pitch as the revs go up. It sounds cool but i think its a problem..

Think this post should be moved to tech torque, not sure...

Might be alternator whine. Did you or your installer run the power and rca cables next to each other down the length of the car? Try running them down spaced apart or ideally on opposite sides.

nah the RCA cable and power cables are away from each other.

Power at the left side of car and rca & remwire down the centre

It is stereo aids :( Your amp must have been fooling around with inter-company componentry in the manufacturing plant and contracted it.

There is no doubt in my mind its alternator whine either that or a ground loop. Try making sure the cables arnt near ecu etc. If doesnt work try a rca in line filter. Cab be brought from any decent place that sells car audio

THe amp has also decided not to turn on via rem wire

and i have to plug the rca separately meaning

red wire in first group
and the white in the 2nd group

The AIDS are spreading :O Not good. . But some prefer the turbo sound! Makes you think you own a subaru :)

But seriously. .

I think you have knocked a wire out from the remote from the HU. Or at the worst shorted the remote circuit

Just try this.

Mark where you have the front gains for the fronts set now.

Drops the front gains all the way down. turn off/fade out rears, turn off sub.
Set your Head deck volume at 80%, you can go 100%* if you have no speakers running of the head deck.( *If you have a quality deck and a well recorded test CD!)
Gradually increase the gains and stop, or back to the point, where, absolutely no distortion can be heard.
See if that gets rid of it.

If that doesn't work, screw around for months and finally get the inline filter.

As for your remote wire not working, recheck the connections and test.
If the amp has a remote wire and an aerial wire check the remote turn on by connect the remote wire to the aerial wire from the HU.
Or check for signal with a test light or Multimeter.

I'd bet 98% wiring issue. 1 % amp fail, 1% HU fail.

Where have you Earthed the Amp and Headunit?? A bad earth will also cause the Issues you are having!

Disconnect your speakers from the amp (at the amp side), go for a drive, and see if you still get a whine. If the speaker wires are running near something like a fuel pump, the speakers can whine from the freq produced near the wires.
