Hey guys, a few months ago i got a new sound setup installed by annoying JB HI FI, anyway as a result now i have a very annoying buzzing sound coming from My when my volume is LOW, how did you fix it?

What you have is either alternator whine, or your gains on your amps are set to high. Turn the gains down a little bit and see if it makes a difference. Otherwise an rca line filter or get readt to rip your whole install apart

1)Check the ground loop
2)Remove RCA's and see if the noise is still present
3)Turn the gains down and see what that does.
If its still there back to JB Hi Fi you go.
Also check they didn't run the RCAs along the same path as the amp power cable- even moving them apart a few inches can eliminate noise

Definitely take it back to jb hi fi, that's why you pay them money to install.

Just say that you have alternator whine or similar, and have them fix it or they can pay to have an auto elec or similar sort it out.
That's the exact reason i sent my mate to JBs to have his sub installed rather than help him do it ourselves, because if something goes wrong JBs can fix it. Plus, it's a VY Commodore and i'm not going anywhere near the dash on that thing.
