Hi Guys,
Im in the Third Gen section now, bought a TH exec auto today!
It has a little issue, the gearlever is sometimes hard to get into park, have looked and the pin the runs down the track doesnt seems to go down far enough, took the lever off and pushed the plastic rod down and its fine... Is it a case of a worn knob?

Worn knob . . . . pity this is a "No Spam" thread! lol

No, probably the cable to the gearbox needs a slight adjustment. Look in the manual.

The cable may also be partially seized and need replacing.

I had the same prob with mine dude, I just took the shifter off and packed out underneath the shifter button with cardboard to make the locking pin move further.

It'll be the button, I've even had this issue from a brand new selector assembly fitted under warranty. That button should not be too expensive, at least in the US they're about $10, try wreckers? MitsFix?
