hi everyone,
just picked up a head for my TR, which I pulled off a TS. It has M7 cast on the side of the head, so unfortunately, just standard combustion chambers. Well, the head to my local engine shop, and got it skimmed. He told me that the cam seal is very hard, and I should replace it. My question is, what size is the seal, and would I be able to get the seal from my local bearing shop.
Thanks
Michael

You will need the head gasket and intake/exhaust manifold gaskets anyway, so buy a VRS kit which should include everything you need, including valve stem seals - which you should put on as the seals on the head will be hardened too. Did you get the head skimmed with the valves in? lol They normally are taken out so the valve seats can be recut and the valves refaced.

I already had head gasket and manifold gaskets, given to me by a mate. I did get a set of stem seals as well, but I had to get it seperately, as all the gaskets were bought individually, not as VRS kit. The shop left the valves in situ, but undid the rocker gear, so the valves were seated in the head

if you have the sample seals you can get them
from that original supplier
