i had an open pod in my engine bay, and it sounded awesome when hitting mivec , as soon as 5500rpm hit there was a roar!, now ive enclosed the pod in the stock airbox, fed by snorkle with some mods for extra airflow, the noise is not there, just a linear roar now from lower revs up high. Pulls harder and torque curve is improved , but really missing the roar! the snorkle has 40-50mm pipe from it to front bumper for extra cold air, wondering if increasing this to 100mm will get my roar back and still have it getting cold air! i have no airflow meter maf sensor on fire wall with tube to intake plenum on these cars, so its stock piping from pod to plenum, reducing from about 110mm at the pod to the throttle body diameter. whats your opinion? keen on performance but how much power can be lost from hot air? was mainly worried about it leaning out at high revs with pod exposed.
