View Full Version : identifing a particular fuse...

in a TJ engine bay fuse box what items are serviced by the #2 fuse?? apart from the dash lights?? mine blows this fuse the instant i turn the headlights on so i have to eliminate every item in this circuit to find were the short is..... :( I have a hayns manual but cant find this fuse in the wiring diagram to see what it runs... i have replaced the indicator stalk and dimmer switch and checked them for continuity and all looks good. i still have head lights, stereo, trip cmputer ect and all guages..
any help at all would be appreciated

I think dash lights and tail light(parkers, not brake lights) are on the same fuse. Check to see if you still got them.?

thank you so much for the quick reply... i just checked, your right i have NO front parker light , rear red tail light or number plate lights....now i know were to start looking...come to think of it the front right parker has been out for a while so ill start there. just want to exhaust all ideas before paying someone to do it.. I would start by unplugging your stalk and hazard swith then replace the fuse. And go from there. You need eliminate the fact you don't have a faulty new item that you have installed.

i just had this problem, replaced both 10amp fuses for the parkers and was fine
