Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone has seen this before.

I replaced the door speakers in my KS today as I figured I'd blown the right one, (factory) however after a bit of modification to make the Pioneer bullets fit, still no right audio.
Figured the heatunit was stuffed and thought no more of it, as I had some time I started doing the rest of the install (2 amps, 2x12's, Trying to fit 6x9s in the roof, ill post pics once that works (lotsa fibre glass...wagon)) and after wiring the amp up to the right front channel, still no audio.
Im guessing its unplugged at a connector under the dash, does anyone have any ideas where the cable joins? Id have done a further look but I literally finished at 10Pm (whoops)

I honestly cant be stuffed running cables into the door. Ive had my fair share of that over the years, I'm not looking for an SPL beast, I just want something better than stock

The stock speaker wires run from inside the door, straight to the head unit, the wires themselves don't join anywhere, they only other connection should be around the door grommet, because if you want to take the door off you need to unclip this connector.

Yeah took me a while to sus out, in my error I saw a connector under the dash with the same color coding, years of expereince told me not to trust this.

2 things lead to my confusion

1. the door speaker I had fitted even though testing okay, had a damaged tinsel lead, hence no connection :yeahthat:
2. the four inch in the dash threw weird readings due to the capacitor used to protect the tweeter, hence why I never saw 4 ohms.

Regardless now, Ive replaced the 4's with oil cooled tweeters and resoldered the tinsel lead (yeah it will break again, but what are you going to do) installed the crossovers and will hide the 4ga a bit better over the week.

For those wondering , you CAN get 4ga though the clutch grommet in a manual, you just need to be very precice with your cutting, if you want true precision, cut the grommit out (be aware its a double grommit, ie it has 2 thin layers instead of one thick),drill a hole and pop it back in.

My post might have seemed very "Four year oldish" as I Really shouldnt have started pulling the car apart yesterday and it was a loong day, so Apologies.

Now if only I can get these 6x9s in the roof....
