I'm in the market for a Verada and was just wondering is there much difference in a KF and a KJ? I have heard the KJ is better on fuel and has more power, is this true?

cheers

Between cosmetics and mechanics, there is quite a significant difference between the two. Mechanically they're much the same, different revision of cams and a modified tune in the KJ makes it rev out a little smoother and does make it more economical. Series II KJ also gets the 5sp Auto if you're looking that far ahead.

Cosmetics I'm sure you can work out, body panels, interior trims and finishes, plus a few safety features like traction control.

Thanks for your reply, yes I know the cosmetic differences, the rear is quiet different between the two, as is the front, the interior doesn't look that different though, I wasn't to sure of the mechanical differences, the KJ would be the way to go if I can scrap up enough cash, more refined and better car I guess

I've been looking lately, you should be able to get a nice KJ XI Series 1 for around the $5000 mark. Factory leather, sunroof. KH XI is also a good option, interior is better imo (Black dash instead of gray or brown), they seem to be going for $4500 or so.

KE is missing speed alarm and digital trip computer
KF is missing the digital trip computer.

Try to get one in mawson white as all colours except mawson white suffer from clearcoat lift at one point or another.
