No such thing as too big my friend
I had 17's on my TS to start with. I have recently upgraded to a set of 18x7.5's and looking back at pics of my car with 17's, they sorta look like hubcaps. I recommend 18's because more and more cars are running around with bigger wheels so to keep with the times i suggest 18's. You'll prob be looking anywhere from $1400 to $2500 for a set, i paid $1500 with slightly used rubber but as good as new.

Be careful of gutters

im running 18x9's on mine, they look sweet but they scrape a bit, 17's would be fine on your car, tyres are a fair bit cheaper too

19x8s would fit, it's all about the wheel offset and width, coupled with how low your car is. If you get 8s and go for an offset of around 38 you should be fine. You might get some scrapes on the inner guard depending on how low the car is but nothing major.

I've only got 15's on my Wagon

But it still looks heaps better than the Plastic Trims !!! lol
(tyres are cheaper too)

However, I'd prefer 17's if given the choice again.
I picked mine up cheap second hand (new condition), so I'm not complaining.

I have 17x7 rims. I don't think I would go any larger - but it sounds like other people have with success.
