Hi guys,
I've been reading threads on removing the heater core as mine or the seals have gone. I have a TJ2 with auto air and in the magna workshop cd it shows an exploded view on what to remove. It says to remove the cooling unit which looks like it bolts to the passenger side of the heater unit but then you have to recharge or evacuate the refrigerant gas !Has anyone done this or can the heater box be removed without removing the cooling unit.
Madmagna are you reading this !!!

Its been covered before, do a search and patiently read through the threads. lol Dash out job if I remember correctly. It can be done without dropping the refrigerant from the aircon.

send a PM to MCS_Xi - he recently changed his heater core seals in his very nice KH Xi.

DIdnt have to evac and recharge the aircon gas either - but the whole dash has to come out - as the core is in the middle of the dash right at the BACK of the firewall...

I suppose you could try that foam fabric cleaner and then try drying with a hair dryer !!
