I was recently given this sub from a friend, due to it having some minor damage and the fact that he upgraded anyway.

Now in regards to the damage, the sub itself works fine. But the cones piece at the top has come off. I've cleaned off all of the old glue that remained (my mate attempted to glue it back on but made it worse) and he also supplied some glue that he said would be appropriate to put it back on.

Will I be able to fix this sub easily? If so, what monoblock will I need to power it? I saw on the back it said 1000W but I've never had a sub/amp before so I have no idea haha.

Also, when gluing the cone back on, is there any specific way I should do it?

Thats a funny looking amp :D

Its not going to be easy repairing it. Must be perfectly centred or it will not be balanced right and will hit the magnet, basket etc
I had that SUB once upon a time and was etremely dissapointed in it but for free you can't complain!

From memory they are DVC 4 ohm coils so it depends on the amp to how you hook it up. If you want the most power get an amp that will do 500rms @ 2 ohm. That way you can hook both coils up in parallel ( positives to positive on amp, negatives to negative on amp)

I cant really see an issue at all with repairing, mind you I wouldnt use that glue for the simple sake of not knowing how it will react. There is a particular Loctite glue that is used for reconing speakers, Loctite Prism 480 if I recall correctly. The main thing you will likely find is that you will have a messy glue line when your finished but if thats the worst thing that happens to a free sub your laughing.
