Does that mean twin plate clutches from brands like OS Giken and Exedy should also fit? if yes what flywheel would you use? also some kits have an option of a pull-push converter kit would this be of use with a magna box?
Thanks

Have no idea in the world why you would want to do this :), well in your case I guess I do but yes, pretty much if it will fit in an evo box and bolt up to a std evo flywheel it will work in the Magna.
If you want something that will require an aftermarket flywheel you are up for big $$ as no one makes them for mits, you CAN NOT mod yours to make it fit so you are up for a total new custom billet flywheel
BTW< the evo clutch does not fit the magna as a direct fit, some turn the plate around and some mod the flywheel slightly to make it fit, turning the plate is not good at all. No need also to make a push clutch, I personally see no advantage in doing this to be honest

Ok thanks Mal much appreciated.
So just to clarify, an Evo flywheel will not fit a 6G7?
Just curious as there are some clutch packages that come with a flywheel (ie. the exedy hyper series) - http://www.exedy.com.au/HyperMetalSeries.aspx
Edit: Exedy lists their racing flywheel part #MF501 to fit the 3.5L Magna.

It's worth noting that evo clutches will not direct fit into a Legnum, because the flywheel is deeper so the bellhousings often hit the top of the clutch cover. Yet the same part that fit in my Magna (MBK-7203HD) fits in my Legnum.
There may be more clearance in the Magna boxes to make up for this, perhaps (not sure who has fit evo clutches before) but worth noting, for example, maybe some brands will fit but others will not, etc.

Actually scratch that thought, the flywheel on the magna would be shallower, therefor probably not a problem. Nevermind. :P

you definitely dont need such an extreme clutch in a magna. My Excedy HD is holding up fine and has done maybe 30,000ks

His front wheels will be breaking traction long before a HD exedy single plate clutch will be slipping....

doubt it. MANY other things will break first. Including drive shafts and traction.

Evo pressure plate will touch the bell housing, think from memory Gremlin did this and had to do a slight mod to the bell housing.
Evo flywheel WILL NOT bolt onto a Magna crank either so as I stated above will have to be a special order
The issue is not so much off the line but will be at speed with max boost and revs, this is where the issue could come about with slippage etc
