Hey I bought a remote of eBay and I went to program it I can't work it out.
I read the book still can't get it to program

Is it just my busted shit box or a common thing with eBay remotes

What kind of remote and what kind of shitbox? Does the remote have a warranty/return period on it?

If its the mits. black remote with red and green buttons and the grey boot release one it should work. Key in ignition, go between on and acc a few times and the indicators will flash? Is there someone nearby with another magna you can check it on? Not sure if the remotes changed between the F and H series, I think the keys might have slightly.

thats how you doing it for the tf any way turn on to acc off 3 times then indicators will flash the press the button on remote should make a sound but make should you close your door or it does work hope this helps your out

If the car and remote are on different frequencies you can do this until the cows come home and it still won't work. lol

well how do we get them on the same frequency???

Cant change the frequencies, just need the correct remote for the corresponding model..

I purchased an identical remote from the same seller for my KF Xi Verada, and it works like a charm.


I suspect you're running into trouble trying to get the car in into program mode by turning the ignition back and forth from acc.

You cannot get a KF Xi Verada into program mode this way no matter how much you try (regardless of what the user manual says).

I found the instructions below on this forum some time back, but can't remember the thread, so credit goes to whoever uploaded this to begin with.

The proper way to do it is to ground pin 1 of the OBD plug and follow instructions outlined (see linked picture)

From memory, pin 4 of the OBD plug is ground, so just jumper pins 1 & 4 and you should be cooking with gas.

The OBD data plug connector is under the dash on the drivers side, I think more towards the centre console, so slide your seat back and have a look with a torch.
