RJust a quick question was cleaning my interior the other day and must have inadvertently push the sliding plastic when changing gears and caused it to be dislodged and become crumpled tried taking centre console out but was unable to reseat it.

Can it be reset or can I just cut it out and still change gears any suggestions?

what you need to do is pull out the center console (cup holder bit), pull the gear knob back to L so you can unscrew the gear selector the screw is facing front of the car it then from memory it just slides straight off, then the fascia where all your gear are displayed is just clipped on by 4 or 5 plastic prongs it will just then also slide up may have to disconnect the light bulb socket. then that sliding plastic thing runs along a track underneath the gear fascia. once you see it you will know. hope this helps you out. i did this when i had to swap my fascia over which was a little while ago
