There is a device known as a PAC, maybe give your local audio store and explain what you are after and im sure they will be able to help you. Im not much help with this one because i dont own a 380, and if i wanna keep my steering wheel controls i just use a LOC to run RCA's to the amp and then run the factory headunit.

Yes. The only thing whatsoever that the factory bluetooth does with the old head unit is ground 1xpin on the 10pin connector. Just keep everything the same and hook the yellow mute wire on the 10pin connector to the telephone mute pin on the new headunit. Done.

The PAC wont do it, as far as I know, never had anything about it when I set up mine.

BTW - LOC = Line out Converter.
Some new amps have a LOC built in, in the form of a high level input active sensor, seems a much better idea, as the speaker wires to the amp will be less susseptable to noise than low current RCA's. And it acts as a trigger wire too.

I think, the BT switches connect to the parrot unit, which would be pretty much useless with a different H/U. unless you get a deck that needs a parrot BT addon, and mod the Parrot you have to work with a new deck. Line up for Fail.

New decks with BT built in have auto answer, and (some) can connect to multiple phones.

If I was not going Hardcore, and just wanted better speakers, I'd opt for the new amp, with the auto turn-on High level inputs. No PAC SWiPS, the Head unit and BT look/are original, easy to convert to stock and you'll have doof.
MCHenry just a ran a little mono and sub with a woofer, the rest stock I beleive. Sounded good, the 380 speakers are pretty good with a bit of Bass Assistance.

Oh okay, you don't mean keep the factory bluetooth entirely - you mean just keep the buttons and the microphone and connect into a new bluetooth capable headunit. Yes, completely possible - depending on the functionality of the new head unit and whether it has inputs for a remote microphone and analog hang up/answer pins on the rear connectors.

yeah thanks 4 the info guys, i was not even that worried about keeping the bluetooth buttons, just was too lazy to re-run the mic cable, and wanted the steering wheel controls 4 volume.
Any recomendations for a good 1 that works with steering whel buttons.
