Hey Guys,

So I just bought my little rear view Camera that I'm gonna link to my touch screen DVD stereo so that when I reverse I get a clear picture (as i'm sure everyone knows that our lovely magnas require a little bit more concentration when doing reverse parks, looking for a park and wondering if you can squeeze in etc) showing exactly whats going on back there.

My Problem isn't with mounting it, (just under my rear plate btw) or connecting it to my stereo screen, its that I don't know how or where to run my wires/cables from the back to the front.

I really don't want to take my car apart trying to figure it out. I haven't attempted anything yet but I was thinking (and this is just thinking) that seeing as the antenna wire runs the length from the back to the stereo could my camera wires run the same path? And if that is the case how do I do that?

Please, let the answers roll in from every one and fast :D

Many thanks in advance

okay. Do you have a sub and amp installed in your boot? if you don't, you can run it down either side of the car, if you do then run the cables down the side that has your audio cables running down, NOT the power. Easiest way i reckon is to remove the bottom seat of the back seat (run your hand where the seat meets the carpet and you will feel 2 plastic latches and you pull them and lift the seat up) then remove the plastic clips that hold the carpet to the bottom of the door (not too hard when pulling up your you'll snap them) do that on both the back door and front door, run your cable from your camera under the back seat rest (you may need to remove it, there are bolts you undo on the bottom left, middle, bottom right and you SLIDE the back of the seat up to the room and it will come off, then under the carpet in the footwells of the driver/passenger area and to the back of your head unit :) alternatively, you could remove the drivers seat, feed it to the center console run it up there rather than behind the dash but its more effort removing the seat.

hope that helped mate!

I reckon thats pretty spot on
I dont have any extra speakers as I'm not that hardcore yet, (and the car seems to be able to handle it when I play skrillex).

Thanks presti

next im gonna need some one to tell me where to run wires for Neons that are under the two front seats!

What i did when i installed my sub, i unclip the scuff plates on one side of the car, and remove the passanger seat, run the wiers from the dash to the boot, put everything back and that's it!
but like Presti write, you must be carefull with the clips, as they snap pretty easy.
